| The outcome of an advanced technological design, the Pediatech foot orthosis ensures biomechancial control to cope with the active lifestyle of children.
Available in youthful designs, the Pediatech foot orthosis is endowed with a polynyolene shell that is sufficiently flexible and thin to provide room for the foot to grow but is also sturdy enough to correct the positioning and walk of the child. Furthermore, this same shell acts on nerve endings that collect sensations coming from the child’s body. This orthosis permanently corrects gait disorders caused by poor posture, weakness, and/or deformity of the foot. Displaying strong resistance to impact or premature wear, the Pediatech orthosis fulfills its role of protecting the plantar surface. For activities that are extremely demanding on the feet, such as skateboarding or mountain biking, Pediatech offers a reassuring solution.
By promoting the realignment of the foot and its bone segments, the Pediatech orthosis enhances the foot’s mechanical advancement and directly addresses the problems most likely to worsen and be detrimental to the child’s development. On this basis, a very deep cup is favoured to allow maximum control of the anterior (cuboid bone, scaphoid bone, and three cuneiform bones) and posterior tarsus (talus and calcaneus bones) while the various biomechanical corrective postings support the growth of developing joints. By paying special attention to the age and growth curve of the child, we cut the orthosis a little longer to extend its useful life.
Our philosophy is to think outside the box and exceed our customers’ expectations, providing exceptional orthoses that are tailored to the needs of the individual. For children under the age of 13 whose growth is more rapid, Bi-Op offers a free 18-month replacement policy following the purchase of a Pediatech foot orthosis. Some conditions apply.
The general appearance of the orthosis varies according to the patient’s body structure, the additions that the patient may require and the use of top covers, if applicable. |
