This attention to detail gives each Bi-Op orthosis optimum therapeutic effectiveness and biomechanical aid.You have taken a step in the right direction by choosing a Bi-Op’s orthosis.

The custom-made foot orthosis you have just acquired has been specifically designed to your needs. It corrects or compensates skeletal deviations of the foot and ankle by redistributing the articular pressure points on the plantar surface, thus allowing the alignment of the body segments and joints in their functional axes.

The use of an orthosis requires a short period of adaptation, which may vary from patient to patient but generally ranges between three to eight weeks. During the first several days, you may experience slight discomfort. To get through this adaptation period with as little inconvenience as possible, we recommend alternating periods of use with periods of rest.

Between the first and the seventh days increase the time you wear your orthosis by one hour each day, with rest periods of approximately an hour. For example, wear your orthosis for one hour the first day, two hours the second day, and three hours the third day. Keep this pattern up of increasing the wearing time by one hour per day until the eighth week. If you feel some discomfort in the hips, knees or back, reduce the wearing period by one or two hours as necessary. Should the discomfort persist consult your practitioner.

We hereby certify that this custom-made device was precisely fabricated according to your practitioner's original prescription based upon the casts or plantar impressions provided.
